The relationship with your supervisor is one of the most important factors shaping your doctoral experience. Yet, many researchers receive little guidance on how to actively manage this relationship, communicate effectively, or navigate challenges when expectations are unclear or misaligned.
This workshop will help participants take a proactive role in working with their supervisor and making the most of the mentorship available to them. This webinar aims to cover topics that will help you:
- Understand the roles, expectations, and responsibilities of both supervisor and doctoral researcher
- Communicate more effectively, including how to prepare for and lead productive meetings
- Address challenges such as misaligned expectations, feedback difficulties, or limited availability
- Develop strategies to foster a more constructive working relationship
